Approach

My Method Explained

I believe there is a very real connection between our physical spaces and our mental wellness. A well-organized space can positively impact our mental wellness. A cluttered, chaotic space may be indicative of anxiety, depression, relational turmoil, ADD/ADHD, and grief.

My work is about coming alongside those who feel mentally and emotionally burdened by the current state of their spaces. I work with those whose spaces reflect their need for psychotherapy. I guide individuals, couples, and families through a unique process that marries de-cluttering and organizing with psychotherapy.

I also work compassionately alongside those responsible for the property of a loved one who has passed; in this process we efficiently liquidate an estate while simultaneously honouring, and creating space for, grief.

As a Certified Ultimate Professional Organizer™ and Psychotherapist I provide you the unique opportunity to get your physical spaces in order while simultaneously and intentionally organizing your mental space. Together, let's create Space of Mind.

Process

How It Works

Step 1: Initial Meeting

  • Length: 50 mins

  • Where: securely online or in person.

  • Goals: Like a traditional initial therapy session, the intention of an initial meeting is to connect, understand your goals, and recognize how I can help.

Step 2: “Meet the Space” Session

  • Length: 1.5 - 2 hours

  • Where: the client’s space.

  • Goals: to note in detail what specifically needs to happen to move towards your mental wellness and physical space goals (product needs); to gather information to be able to provide a quote for your individual Space of Mind process.

Step 3: “Space of Mind” Sessions

  • Length: Due to the differing needs of each client and space, it often makes sense to split "Space of Mind" sessions into multiple parts. An estimate of the number and length of suggested "Space of Mind" Sessions is provided after a "Meet the Space" Session. (Package pricing is available for some situations, which includes "Meet the Space" session fees as well as one "Follow-Up/Maintenance" session anytime within the first three months after a project has been completed.)

  • Where: the client's space.

  • Goals: to achieve the goals for your space, to move you significantly towards your mental wellness goals, and to recognize what is required to maintain both.

Follow-Up/Maintenance Sessions are available upon request.
